We are renaming our group to try to attract new members.
We have vacancies for 2/3.
In many people’s minds the word ‘philosophy’ conjures up images of dusty books and ivory towers, a subject only for the brain boxes and academically elite. This group is designed simply for anyone, whatever their educational background who is in any way curious about our human condition. We ask and try to explore answers to fundamental questions about human existence, knowledge, right and wrong, truth, and the nature and meaning of life.
Our meetings are very informal, and we don’t follow any curriculum. We decide topics for discussion at each monthly meeting. Members carry out their own research of the chosen topic to whatever depth they are interested in, and following a short introduction by a volunteer, we
share our thoughts and insights.
We meet in members’ homes, on the last Wednesday morning of every month. There is often cake on the agenda to accompany our deliberations! If you’re interested in joining the group or just want to ask any questions please contact the convenor by clicking on the link at the top of this page
