The Mahjong Group now has eight members. Five in the original group and three in a second group. There is space for one more in the newer group, which currently meets every other Tuesday in a member's house at Smithy Bridge. If anyone is interested please contact me via the link on the website.
Mahjong is a traditional Chinese game played with tiles, and the u3a has kindly bought us a complete set of tiles and racks which has enabled us to have a set at each venue. The attached photos show group one getting
into the mood on St Patrick's Day and group two setting up with the newly purchased tile set.
Mahjong is a very old board game, originating in Asia. The basic game is easy and enjoyable to play. The pieces we play with are beautiful. We all have a lot of fun playing this interesting game.
We meet in a member's home at 2.00pm every other Tuesday.
