We meet fortnightly on the first and third Wednesday morning from 10.30 to about 12.15 in the convenor’s home.

We sometimes read a book or watch a video, we try to ensure that everyone talks in Italian in every session and we ask each other questions. We do a bit of grammar but our focus is on conversation and understanding.

We don’t aim for perfection, we aim to communicate in a relaxed and friendly way. Sometimes we take on a little project – for example we look at a particular region of Italy and each member goes away to find out about a particular topic - the traditional food, how to get there, where to visit, what to see, etc.

Sometimes we sample Italian food locally as in the picture. Unfortunately we are full at the moment but, if you already have some knowledge of Italian and you would like to go on the waiting list, please contact the convenor.
