The u3a provides educational, leisure and social activities for people no longer in full time employment. There is no lower or upper age-limit.

Littleborough is a small town situated in the foothills of the Southern Pennines.

It has easy road and rail links to Manchester and Leeds, and is surrounded by beautiful countryside.

The " Jewel in the Crown" of Littleborough is Hollingworth Lake, built to feed the Rochdale Canal, which passes through Littleborough centre.
