From our start point on Old Royd road we headed South to Causeway Wood road where we turned East and Southeast into Lumbutts Clough and towards Lumbutts and the Top Brink.

Next we headed for Sisley Lane into Mankinholes where we turned South towards London road and joined the Pennine Bridleway for a short break.

Passing Broad Carr farm and Gut Royd farm into Shaw wood we went West parallel to the canal before dropping onto the towpath and back onto Woodhouse road to return to our start point.
