On a beautiful clear day our Tuesday 1st September walkers met at 10am at the car park at High Peak, on Blackstone Edge old road. We took the Pennine way (Rough Road) and headed East towards Broad Head drain, travelling past the hidden lake and over Clegg Moor and Blackstone Edge moor towards Blackstone Edge Delph and turned down the old Roman(?) road to return to our start point.
We covered just short of 4.5 miles following established paths, with a refreshment break at the highest point and were treated to some spectacular views.
