We now have joint convenors in Howard Gott and Betty Hurst for this group who will work up a programme of meetings.

The History Group usually meet at 2.00 pm on every third Monday in the month at Littleborough History and Archaeological Society Rooms, Platform 2, Littleborough Railway Station, Littleborough, OL15 8AF

Access to Platform 2 is by steps or a ramp. The Rooms are wheelchair accessible with an accessible toilet.

Ideas for talks, discussions, visits and research come from the group so we have a wonderful variety of topics and areas of interest.

Past activities and future plans include:

Greater Manchester U3A Project, COTTONOPOLIS and Littleborough Mills

Visits to museums and places of historical interest.

Group members presenting interesting and thought provoking objects and ideas at meetings to generate discussion.

Research into some Littleborough Shops.

Our next meeting is on Monday 17th September 2024.
